So, How do I print mixes that are "loud enough" to be approved by the record co. or the producer and still not too peak limited for mastering?
Answer:
The obvious solution here is to print two. Track count is not nearly as much of a problem as it used to be. So print the raw mix on one set of tracks and the mix through the squeezebox on another. Bring or send both mixes to mastering and make sure they are well labeled.
